How do you determine to stop playing poker for the DAY?
I'm curious how everyone here determines how to end their session of poker. I've had mini sessions as well as marathon session (over 13+ hours, which usually means i'm stuck and chasing)
With online poker, it's so easy to find a game anywhere anytime. So what are some of the reasons you stop playing for the day? |

set a goal and a loss limit play within those parameters
but I keep playing if the game is good/and I am playing well even if I go over loss limit or above my goal. |

[/ QUOTE ] This is really a bad decision to make, You shouldn't make your decision whether to keep playing based on how much you are up or down on the day. I do understand some people need a loss limit, simply to prevent tilt, but that should be the only reason. A good idea may be to set a specific # of hands you will get in on the day, or even specific # hours you will play. However, you should really stop playing when you feel yourself losing focus on the game. There are times that even though I wanted to get in x hands that day, I was so out of focus in the middle of my session, I just quit. I'd rather make 0 money than lose money because I really wasn't paying attention to the action well. |
