deeperish 10-25 AK hand.. thoughts
ok so.. i havent played on UB in forever, so dont have a great read on the players, but ive seen drunkpp around before and he seems somewhat intelligent at least, but probably not amazing.
Hand #40568008-3233 at Morgantown (No Limit Hold'em) Started at 18/Mar/07 21:25:21 18quills is at seat 1 with $2245 . DrunkPPlaya is at seat 2 with $11290 .35. EJJ is at seat 3 with $2430 . Bebop86 is at seat 5 with $6361 .25. The button is at seat 3. Bebop86 posts the small blind of $10. 18quills posts the big blind of $25. 18quills: -- -- DrunkPPlaya: -- -- EJJ: -- -- Bebop86: Ac Kh Pre-flop: DrunkPPlaya raises to $85. EJJ folds. Bebop86 re-raises to $280. 18quills folds. DrunkPPlaya calls. Flop: (board: 7s 2c Kc ): Bebop86 bets $375. DrunkPPlaya raises to $1100. Bebop86 calls. Turn: (board: 7s 2c Kc ): [Jd] Bebop86 checks. DrunkPPlaya bets $1750. Bebop86 ? i have about 5k or so in my stack at this point. its a pretty annoying spot imo, as its really tough to decide what to do. im not really sure what best play is at this point, i could fold, i could call ck/call most rivers, i could shove. i dont like the fold button, so fold is pretty much out imo, but anyways, ill leave it up to a vote and discussion. also, assuming people like to call turn decide river, there are a lot of interesting cards that can make this hand even more tricky, but if no1 likes calling turn then i wont get into it. |

Re: deeperish 10-25 AK hand.. thoughts
If its between call or push turn, Im leaning towards pushing. But I at first thought its between push turn/fold turn. But if you call turn, you think he will fire with air on the river? And on what rivers.
I rather push for value on turn if he's semibluffing, or betting worst hand. Or maybe thats the part of me thats just trying to get it in before it gets too ugly, is that bad for overall value? If you don't know villan, might as well leave out his name. |

Re: deeperish 10-25 AK hand.. thoughts
i mean, i kinda like a turn fold
you have no history MOST players who you don't otherwise know as being great deep stack players or great players in general will take a free river with a draw you also have no reason to think he's bluffing and you are deep, it's not like you have 100-150 bb here |

Re: deeperish 10-25 AK hand.. thoughts
i wont say anything other than: if you push, are you bluffing/protecting your hand or do you expect him to call 160 bb's more with a worse hand?

Re: deeperish 10-25 AK hand.. thoughts
it's difficult without much of a read because i think knowing whether or not he is capable of firing a missed river (assuming he's behind) is going to determine if we push or call.
i like a push here if we are putting him on a semi-bluff although i think most draws will take the free river card unless it's a huge draw i.e. 910 of clubs. |

[/ QUOTE ] obviously you're not expecting KQ to call, but a lot of times people get married to draws when they get c/red and just make flat-out bad calls, so there's that possibility. for the most part a shove protects your hand here and also protects you in future reraised pots which, 4-handed, is very important as your opponents will be less likely to float you or make thin bets on the turn which will help you when you have more marginal hands oop. |

Re: deeperish 10-25 AK hand.. thoughts
i've seem this guy cr bluffing a lot of boards like this, and cr a lot in general. that said, i like a shove for value the most... but i have only watched this guy play for about 200 hands or so, so you may have a better read.

Re: deeperish 10-25 AK hand.. thoughts
Ive played with Drunk a bunch at lower stakes and I dont see him making moves too much when your this deep. Against him I really dont like a push and I think folding is the best option because he likely has a set
I guess calling the turn and folding the river isnt bad either though. |

[/ QUOTE ] A 5/10 hand I played with drunkpp... 100bb stacks. i open sb he 3bets i call. flop Q56 2 clubs i check he bets i c/r 3/4pot he folds A2cc face up. I think this is pretty close. the 10-25 games on UB can play pretty small imo, and most of the moves i've seen drunkpp make aren't this big. I'd probably fold. FF makes a good point. Its close, and in this case meta might make it better to 4bet here. |
