Please give feedback on my play
1-2 No Limit home game. I am the dealer. Eight handed. 2nd player under the gun (strongest player in the game) raises to 12. Two callers, I call on the button with pocket 5's and the small blind calls.
Flop comes 7-5-2 rainbow. Small Blind checks, Strong Player bets $50. Folded to me. I just call, hoping to get the small blind to possibly call. Small blind calls. Three handed to the turn. Turn is a Jack. Strong Player bets $150. Again, I just call, hoping the small blind calls. He says he is being priced into the pot and after some thought makes the call. Comments? River is another 2. Small blind checks, Strong Player goes all-in, I call, small blind folds (he had us both covered) saying he was open ended from the flop. |

Re: Please give feedback on my play
why do you want to price him in to a draw? especially since hes not going to call a river bet should his draw miss.

Re: Please give feedback on my play
Stack sizes are of much importance here.
I probably raise the flop but a call there is OK, as played on the flop definitely push turn. Pot is big now. |

Re: Please give feedback on my play
If strong player does have a big pair I don't think he overplayed it at all (until river).
As played I am probably raising turn. Sucks if you ran into JJ. Reload and try again. |

Re: Please give feedback on my play
I dont agree with Villian firing 4 shots into the button with only an overpair.
I really like your line since it was a raised 6BB PF. I dont see any straights there, only better sets. |
