Overkill for muli-tabling?

I personally think 1600x1200 resolution is ideal. I guess you could use the extra 320 width pixels if you are resizing tables but if you cant resize tables then the widescreen is a waste IMHO.

There was a good thread in the Computer Technical Help forum discussing this along with screenshots of 3 different resolutions. Check it out, I think it'll help your decision.
