top pair with open end str8 flush draw to the royal...hmm : )
5/10 $1000 cap NL. I'm $2900 deep
UTG raise to 50, 4 way limp to me on the CU and I limp as does the BT..blinds fold..I'm holding Kd Qd POT = $350 FLOP Jd 10d Kc UTG has about $1400 and bets $300 it's folded to me and I see that the BT seems uneasy to put the rest of his stack in (about $280).. Should I just call here or come over the top? Folding is out of the question for me... If I'm going to play this massive draw I want as much money in this pot as possible and I think if I reraise he may fold..Anyhow..I call as does the BT. POT = $1230 Here's the problem..the BT turns over his hand prematurely and both me and the UTG see his hand 9d Qc flopping the bitch end of the str8.. TURN Qs BOARD: Jd 10d Kc Qs UTG chks and I peal the river for free..? RIVER Ad BOARD: Jd 10d Kc Qs Ad UTG bets $600 and I reraise him all in and he goes broke having flopped the nut str8 with Ah Qh... would folding have been wrong if he pushed on the turn? I wouldn't have folded if he did but I'm curious what he may have been thinking checking the turn?? Anyhow, comments appreciated.. -normaljoe |

you can either raise or call the flop since you're in position. if you were oop you'd want to get it in on the flop if possible, with a draw that big.
and good job checking behind the turn |
