Easy Fold with 2 Pair?
Pretty sure this is painfully standard but need some feedback anyway. Villian is basic.

Re: Easy Fold with 2 Pair?
I think you're pot committed against most opponents after you bet $25 on the turn. If your read is that the guy does not semi-bluff or bluff at all then you're way behind his range and the fold is probably good.
FWIW, I'd bet less on the flop and check the turn a high % of the time for pot control. The most outs any trailing hand has is 9 (KQ) and many hands (JT, QT, KT) that think they have a lot of outs you have dominated. That way you can value bet the river, but avoid playing a big pot in which you're usually a dog. |

Re: Easy Fold with 2 Pair?
I should have mentioned this is on the absurdly passive Pokerroom. And when someone makes a play like this they generally have a near nut hand, if not the best. Plus when the flop first came out the guy did one of those pauses they tend to do when they hit something good.
I like your line jskinn04. At the time I felt I was bringing a pair+straight draw hand with me so I was trying to get the most value before the river. Obviously it put me in a [censored] spot though. |
