Yours is a fairly fair first post.

However I am confused as I've had two 15 buy-in upswings in less than 2000 hands in my career so surely you, being Phil Hellmuth, have had this happen as well?

Also why in the hell are you hellmuth88? I can understand 89 since that was the MAIN EVENT year or even 99 as that is your SIGNATURE HAND or even 90 as that is the year your clothes style is stuck in, but 88 makes little to no sense to me.

Once again, Phil Hellmuth's genius poker insight is correct.

Because 88 is THE middle pair. it's in the exact middle of all cards, so either your opponents have higher cards or lower cards and youre drawing to a set very well. the only time anyone else will have one of your 8s is when they have the other pocket 88s and its a split pot anyway, so really 88 is the best hand

But i usually only play the black 88, so that excludes the split pot possiblities... Although sometimes i take a risk with a mixed one.(or even the reds <--- warning, HIGH variance play, only for advanced players)

Cmon people, the link....
