Can't believe I'm doing this. Chick situation . Thoughts?

Background: I meet a girl at SuperBowl party, she came to my house as a guest of a friend of a friend. Briefly chatted, but mainly just all talked as small group during Bowl. She is CCed on an email. So that is my only contact. I forwarded my birthday plans to this same CC list a few weeks later. She sends me a birthday greeting, and we begin to exchange emails. The email exchanges are pretty stellar, very long, (the type you have to make time to write) we exchange about 10 of these over 2 weeks. I had invited her to a concert which she could not attend, but came back with.

"Definitely let me know about future shows or whatever else."

I take this as an opportunity to ask her out for drinks In the next email, I do that She responds enthusiastically with "definitely, I know we have different schedules, but im sure we can work something out, whats your schedule like".


I was actually busy this week, but on advisement I decide to shift some plans and make myself available on thursday and friday. I email her this at the end of our usual exchange. This was early tuesday morning before I went to bed.

Obviously she hasn't respnded, and for the first time in a long time I'm really confused. She seemed excited and interested on Monday, and she even gave me her non corporate email to send non work appropiate stuff too (mp3s, etc).

Do I just give up on this girl? I thought I had seen it all, but in my 29 years, this is the first time I've encountered this.

Cliff Notes: meet a girl, only contact info is email, we email long ass emails during the week, i ask her out, she accepts enthusiastically, and then doesn't respond when I say what days I am available.

Very good. I've actually never had an unsuccessful first date. A few chicks I know have advised me to not follow up. If I do, how do I go about it. Again our emails are long, do I continue in that way? or "wtf, respond bitch?"

Plus you can do so under the guise of some forwarded content she may find interesting, thus removing any perceived air of creepiness. Just throw an "and by the way, what works for you next week?" in there, and you're all set.

I really feel awkward asking her "what works for her". I had a hard enough time asking her out via email, as I'm much better just asking a girl for her number upon meeting them and saying "i'd like to take you out sometime".

I do have something she wanted me to send her. But I said I would tell her it verbally "when we go out" in the last email.
