100NL - AK on BTN vs SB
What to do here without any specific reads/stats?
Should I maybe have checked the turn to control potsize? Re: 100NL - AK on BTN vs SB
To be honest I really struggle in these spots, if i check behind i feel i'm losing value from worst aces and giving a free card to the flush draw but if i bet and get c/r'd i feel i have to fold (baluga?).
I'm thinking this is a fold but I'm interested to see what the optimal line is in everyones opinion, check behind the turn or b/f |

Re: 100NL - AK on BTN vs SB
Yah these are the tuff spots...i think a solid player folds AJ out of the blind in a raise...maybe it was suited. AQ would possibly call that bet but i dont know about being that agressive with it post flop. A8 doesnt call but maybe if its suited... also pretty unlikely. I would think JJ or 88 is definately not out of the question. I dont think they are on the flush draw. That would be an unusual play with a flush draw on the turn. All in all I really do struggle with these spots, especially with no reads. I think your facing a weaker ace possibly, and the big reraise on the turn could be to protect his hand if he puts you on a flush draw

Re: 100NL - AK on BTN vs SB
I check behind here with no reads and let him bluff the river. As played, fold. You're not ahead often against an unknown. You need to know your player and have a little history to find a reason to call here, IMO.

Would you say its fair to put this guy on at least two-pair?

Re: 100NL - AK on BTN vs SB
I don't think folding to this c/r in position is automatic. I don't mind calling and re-evaluating on river, since there are potential draws and combo draws on the board.
