Best place for the juiciest limit hold\'em games. So.Cal or Vegas?
I'm thinking of moving and I play online for a living. I want to also play live games sometimes and wondering where
the juiciest limit holdem games are. I would appreciate any suggestions. |

Polls are for retards, thats why they call them "polltards". Real men encourage intelligent discourse!
PS: LA and its not even close. |

Is Vegas superior to LA in any aspect of poker?

Yes, low limit nl games. I can't stand the 40xbb buyin rule at most of the California card rooms.

I prefer Vegas for its uncapped(or 100bb) 1/3 and 2/5 nl games, but for limit its easily L.A.
BTW, it probably costs twice as much to live in L.A. than Vegas, depending on your situation. |

[/ QUOTE ] Is the So Cal game good enough to offset the higher cost of living. You always hear how great the LA games are but for an upstart pro can it really be that much better from a net net standpoint? Thanks |

I'd go with Las Vegas, not because the games are better, but because it costs so much less to live, and there are plenty of non-demanding jobs to be had.
It's easier to have a side job and meet living expenses in Las Vegas. Any place you can find that's reasonable near LA is not a place that you want to be walking around with any kind of bankroll. |

I play in San Diego, not LA, but last time I was in Vegas, I took tons of chips off of tourists it wasn't funny. Well, it was to me, not to them.

[/ QUOTE ] Hero - once you advance past playing small stakes NL, you will find that LA totally destroys Vegas for the quality of games in the mid to high limits. The only time Vegas comes close is during the WSOP. |

Re: Best place for the juiciest limit hold\'em games. So.Cal or Vegas?
TT has experienced both locales. I live in LA and do 4 weekends in LV/yr. LA's sheer volume of LHE games dwarfs any LV LHE considerations. It is other posters who have expanded the question from the OP to cover living conditions. On that issue I note that TT has moved from LA to LV. lol.
