Default Leaving something on top of your car?

They told the story on HSP about Chip Reese leaving a lot of money on his car and driving off. Anyone else ever leave anything on your car?

I got a ride home in college from a friend who lived nearby. We're about halfway from Dayton, OH to Indianapolis, on I-70, going 70ish, and I realize I don't have my keys. After searching all over, I look over my shoulder and see them on the trunk, caught in the gap between the trunk and the rest of the car. We pull over, and I retrieve them. I still can't believe we drove like 60 miles on the highway with them caught like that.

When I was in Kosovo, a guy in my squad put a half eaten peanut butter and jelly sandwich on the back bumper of the humvee. We drove for like 5 minutes through bumps, potholes, puddles, mud..etc. Next stop, he took a bite. It was hilarious.

Stuck on top of the car until I was on the freeway. People pointed at the roof just before it fell off. I got off the freeway and came back and saw the bits and pieces. Fortunately, it was only a $500 laptop. Unfortunately, I'm an idiot like that. I never put stuff on top of the car anymore. Who knows? Maybe that incident saved one of my children's lives. I was thinking about Raising Arizona when I read the first response! I don't see how someone could leave their kid anywhere.

I always think of the Jackass episode where Knoxville puts the car seat with the doll in it on the roof of the car and drives off.

I left a full shopping bag up there. Stayed there for the entire trip. Amen for me.

About 3 years ago, I gave my sister a ride to work at Target I left my wallet on top of my car and drove off to Target. On the way their, my wallet fell off. I thought it was a bird crashing onto my car or something. I didn't notice it at the time but it was my wallet.

When i get home, somehow the guy was able to call me and leave my wallet at the customer service counter of Target. I must of had my digits in my wallet. I wanted to give the guy like 10 bucks but he wouldn't take it.

Lucky me.
