Default In car smoke generator

I've had my "new" car for about a month. Today I finally got my smoke generator installed and I think it looks rather cool when active, though you might enjoy the pics

Oh yeah, I also wanted to answer to the "Crumple or fold" thread that was started some time ago, but it's locked Anyways, here's the definitive discussion ender:

Guess I should've elaborated up front. The smoke is 100% smell free and it does not stick to the cabin at all. Just vent the car for 2-3 minutes and it's like nothing ever happened.

Combined with an ordinary alarm + GPS tracker it's for theft protection.

So when does the smoke get used? If the alarm goes off / illegal entry?

I've got an ordinary alarm (Viper 5000XL) that goes off if you rock the car, touch it or stay in the near vicinity for too long. It also activates together with the smoke generator if any of the windows are broken or if any doors are opened. Besides this I've got a GPS/GSM tracker that'll call 911 by itself it the car moves without having been disarmed. Yes, I'm paranoid.

Naturally that thought has occurred two me. Two issues though, one is the FAQ on the manufacturers website:

[ QUOTE ]
Q: Can you supply aerosols that kill the thief by gassing them?

A: No. It would be unsafe for the fitter of the unit and would open up a whole range of legal issues. Our unit sets out to prevent theft.

[/ QUOTE ]

And second, I really wouldn't want to get into my car after it'd been set off.
