Default Am I a calling station?

5 handed $60/$120 game. Pretty tough game especially by CAZ standards. I've had a few hands recently where I really don't know what to do and everytime it's over I have this dirty feeling like I didn't do something right. This hand is probably the best example of them all.

Preflop: Very good LAG raises in cutoff. I 3 bet 88 on the button. Good TAG whose A game is great but unfortunately also has B, C, and D games also caps it from the SB. I just got into the game so I don't know which one of his games he's currently playing. 3 to the flop.

Flop: J 7 6 rainbow. Small blind leads, cutoff calls, I call.

Turn: 2. Small blind leads again, cutoff folds, and I call.

River: 9. Small blind bets again confidently and I call.

So is that a good thing or a bad thing with this hand? The only point where I could raise is probably the turn, in which he throws away everything I beat and calls or 3 bets hands that beat me. Either way I'm putting in 2 BB's on the turn and river, but calling down guarantees me a showdown in a fairly big pot. So is my thinking wrong?

this is one of my leaks... guy cold caps and fires all three streets you are almost guaranteed to be losing, but when im playing i always seem to convince myself the pot is big and he has AK...

raise the flop sounds better then call call call, right PJ?

barring physical tells, this is a standard call down situation. Esp. SH. I wouldn't give this a second thought.

Well, CSC makes a good point that because it's 5-handed, calling down is fine. His capping range should be a lot wider. But I wouldn't expect to win very often.

if his b/c/d games involve him three barreling or 3bet bluffing this is exactly how I'd play it.

He could be valuebetting A7 here. Either call or raise the river as a value bluff.

I think your'e way behind. What about a raise on the flop? Might give you an idea of where you are.Maybe not but I just don't like the call call call thing

Why are you so confident? Even though this game is shorthanded, capping from the SB is still very strong. I'd expect to see TT-AA here far more often then AKs/AQs or 99 and lower..
