20/40 Reno
I am UTG with AcJc and raise. MP 1 and 3 call and the BB completes. MP1 and 3 are straight forward players. They call on the flop and raise on the turn when they have a hand and draw all the way to the river. The BB is my villian. He is a thinking tricky player that plays any two cards. He can be a maniac or a tag. Will call down with anything or nothing. Flop: 8d 9d Jd BB bets, I raise to see where I am at and both MP 1 and MP 3 cold call, bb calls. Four to the turn. Turn. 5h BB bets, Hero............. I don't like the fact that both cold called. They both have been waiting to raise on the big streets so I can't eliminate a made flush. At best I put them on a flush or straight draw. These two are my biggest concern. I just don't think BB has a flush or straight because he just called my raise. He probably does have a draw. The turn is not the worst card but not the best either. Either MPs could have a ragged two pair, but I am fixed on the flush. When the BB bets I am only slightly worried he has me beat, I am mostly thinking if I call $40 will I be raised, and if so, will BB re-raise even on a draw or just to be over aggro. So I am looking at $80 to $120 to see the river with the possibility of 4 people in the hand. Also I would have to throw out cash to call. This may have had some part in my decision. The defeat of having to go to the next buy-in and may still loose. |

Re: 20/40 Reno
Pretty easy raise. Pretty easy fold to a 3bet from a player behind you. If the BB 3bets turn after the other two fold then it sounds like a calldown given his description.

Re: 20/40 Reno
I would call this flop, raise a safe turn card. As played, raise again.

Re: 20/40 Reno
I don't like raising on that flop. With a vulnerable yet strong on that coordinated board I'd probably just smooth-call the flop and raise any blank turn card. As played I probably raise the turn and fold if I get 3-bet.

Re: 20/40 Reno
fold the turn. With one loose player behind you, I'd raise, but in this spot i don't like being in the middle. bad reverse implied odds.

Re: 20/40 Reno
I raise, then do a little prayer to god so that I can avoid one of the 20 cards that make you lose.

Re: 20/40 Reno
I'm not raising this flop. Your relative position is perfect to wait for a safe turn. As played, raise the turn.
