Default Quick css question..

I've got a website I've been working on for a few days. I used dreamweaver and a template from OSWD.org.

So the sites done, I'm excited to get starting on the marketing side, I upload the site using dreamweavers ftp, the site gets uploaded, but no style.

I usually use wordpress, but I've used templates in the past with no problem.

So I look in the source, and the style sheet is linked to a folder on my hard drive. I tried changing the link to "/styles.css", still nothing.

This is driving me crazy, because it should be pretty simple to fix.

The style sheet is called styles.css. I'd assume I should just be able to stick that file on the server, link to it in the html, and it should work, but it's not.

Do I need to put it in it's own folder? Is there something in dreamweaver that I'm missing?

I'd like to get this thing up today, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

-Scott

Try accessing the style sheet directly in your browser. Once you find it, use that address in your html.

If the style sheet and web page are in the same folder on your server, you can leave off the "/" and the link will be just "styles.css".
