Turn: HU, Big Pot, Big Draw, Facing Raise: Call or reraise?
Holding As7s Flop KsJdTc Turn 8s.
Unknown villain raised flop We bet turn, they raise, folded around to us, even if we put them on AQ, I reraise here. If a blank falls on river, I check/call. I like the idea of hitting the backdoor flush and crushing villain who likely thinks I share AQ and will raise my bet if I catch my flush. Am I spewing chips? |

Am I spewing chips? [/ QUOTE ] While it is a bit hard to discern the action, I am confident that the answer to your question is yes. |

Am I spewing chips? [/ QUOTE ] Yes. We need to know the action better, how many players saw the flop? For how many bets? What was the flop action. How many bets did you need to call, and why are you chasing a gutshot to a straight that is probably a chop? Why do you want to put in threebets on the turn, when you are probably drawing to 9, maybe 10 outs. I don't think a nine is going to help you here, I am pretty sure an Ace isn't an out, and a queen probably is going to get you only a chop. So you need a spade, and you are a 4-1 underdog to get it, and you are throwing a bunch of money in the pot. |

even if we put them on AQ, I reraise here. [/ QUOTE ] This is major spew! Don't you think they are capping their nuts? If they have AQ, you have 9 outs to your flush and 3 outs to a chop... that is it. Best case scenario, where villian does not have Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Board: Ks Jd Tc 8s Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 22.724% 20.45% 02.27% 27184087 3021128.00 { As7s } Hand 1: 77.276% 75.00% 02.27% 99693467 3021128.00 { AhQd } There is no reason to 3bet this hand. |

Re: Turn: HU, Big Pot, Big Draw, Facing Raise: Call or reraise?
I love you guys.
It just felt "right" to me at the time, but the math says "Spew" so I'll keep that in mind next time. I'll play like this at times for a variety of reasons but mostly because in the 1/4 times when I hit I more than make up the 2 BB Spewage (pots are more that 8BB at the end). It does occasionally convey an "Action Jackson" tendency to my play but that's intentional. When I have 9 outs to the nuts on the next flop, I want action...plenty of it, and this is how I get it. This may be another tread, but if its three bets to me on the button with a few people in, I'll also cap PF with suited Aces, Suited connectors or even 1-gappers (it's a gut call with 1-gappers, most of the time they get mucked) and SPP. It's another 2 bet investment and if I whiff on the flop, I'm done but if I hit the Flop it's a big payoff. |

This is major spew, IMO, even in position you're likely crushed. |
