Default Please tell me all I beat here is a bluff...

---

Live 1/2

I have about $120 in front of me. Everyone else involved is deeper (atleast $200). BB has prob $350 or so.

I am UTG with AQo. I raise to $15 (this is standard in this game).

UTG+1 calls.
MP calls
HJ calls
BTN calls
SB folds.
BB raises to $80

Now, BB is tricky but smart LAG. He's good but not afraid to make plays. I have been getting cold decked all night and have been playing very tight. If anyone has noticed my tight play it'd have to be the BB.

That being said, unless he's bluffing I am either basically drawing dead or at best in a coinflip situation, yes?

Fold or Push?

Thanks...

Yah definitely fold. You're a coinflip at best vs BB, and who knows what other random crap the people behind you might come along with.

Also, I know it might sound nitty, but you should really just fold this preflop. If you raise that big and still get tons of callers behind, you're just in a terrible position with a hand like AQ

"If anyone has noticed my tight play its the BB"

Have you raised and folded to a reraise during this session? Just how tight have you been?

Logic states that you were UTG and are coming off as a tight player. You stated he is a good lag and smart. Assuming he is smart as you stated, he has to realize that you have a strong hand here, and are not messing around, hence I think in this spot you can believe him and fold losing just a minimal amount.

If he has been reraising alot or restealing as this hand kinda looks, you might consider running with it. I lean towards folding.

I hadn't been 3 bet this session.

I felt he was smart enough to know I was playing really tight so does that mean he felt that:

a) I am tight enough to fold to his 3 bet

OR

b) I must have a real hand here so he is raising for value.

I think heads up, I'd lean toward A) more but given the action it's gotta be B), yes?

We're not flipping coins if he has AA, KK, or AK which is exactly what he's repping.

dude i just ranged it for you, is my range too wide? i think i gave a laggy 1-2 NL live player too much credit confining his range to that and not considering the large percentage of the time he'll be absolutely FOS
