Critique welcome on all streets. Did I bet enough on flop/turn/river? Should I have slowplayed a little more? Bet out the flop to begin with?
Thanks in advance. I love leading out from the blinds with these kinds of hands. C/Ring sort of gives your opponent a chance to slow down.
I also like betting more on every street. I'm definitely ~potting the turn for value and protection and probably going for about 2/3 pot on the river in case some donk has wandered into a set, two pair, etc. You have the nuts. You need to try to play a bigger pot here. And just a big fat "wow" for how bad UTG played this. |

Motor makes good points. I hope you put a note on UTG. Send him to my tables!

this is one of the worst possible flops to slowplay, like half the deck can either kill your action, or put you behind
lol UTG plays horrible |

Haha, thanks for the feedback. I'm amazed at just how many n00b plays I let go unquestioned prior to joining 2+2.

bet flop, what the [censored] is up with your river bets in every hand? at least $20, probably $24-$28 on the river

You realize you would have stacked the guy had you bet 3/4 a pot each street, right?

[ QUOTE ]
You realize you would have stacked the guy had you bet 3/4 a pot each street, right? [/ QUOTE ] Yes, and that's an easy assessment to make after the fact. But I'm still trying to integrate intelligent, "2+2" thought into my playing DURING hands. Here was my line of thought during this hand. Flop: "Woot, nuts, slowplay!" After min-bet and calls: "I probably should have just bet this out, oh well, now I have to raise." Turn: "I need to protect against the flush draw but want callers. $6 sounds OK to me." River: "Flush draw missed, just bet something that's likely to get called." As you can see, I have A LOT of room for improvement. But I'm playing 10k+ hands a week, paying for coaching, and basking myself in the knowledge and sporadic condescension of the fine folks in this forum. So, I won't be noob forever. Anyway, thanks for the comments. |

Hypothetical question - assume we are UTG and whiff a limp-reraise (assume table conditions warranted going for it). Against unknowns are we able to get away from this board ever?

Let's just say I would probably have lost more then the guy who had aces in this hand.
