Default 5-5 at a local club

5-5 Game with capped at 600$
Hero has about 400$ and Villian covers.

Villian is very LAG. Been lucky and been bullying the table around since the table started (about 2hours). Thoughts on all streets appreciated.

MP1 ($1100)
MP2 ($800)
CO ($435)
Button($630)
Villian ($1075)
Hero ($400)
UTG ($875)

Preflop: Hero is in the Big Blind with Ad, 9h.
2 folds, MP2 calls, CO folds, Button folds, Villian raises to 25, Hero calls, rest folds. Heads-up.

Flop: ($55) 4,6,9 Rainbow (2 players)
Villian bets $20, Hero raises to $55, Villian calls

Turn: ($165) 7 (2 players)
Villian bets $30, Hero raises to $105, Villian goes all-in
Hero calls.

Tell me what do you think Villian had, and comment on my play. Thanks in advance

Most players dont raise out of the blinds without a very good hand. This looks like an overpair. I fold preflop but as played I fold on the turn.

Looks like you just stacked off with TPTK where there are 5 overpairs available. Maybe you got lucky and he has 88 and decided to go with his pair+straight draw. Don't like your turn raise because it commits you to calling a shove. And more often then not, if he is shoving, you are losing.

1) Fold preflop. You have a ton of action to go behind and how happy are you with A9o with 2 still to act, even if you flop a good hand. Raising from blinds = pair or AK for 90% of Low/Mid limit players.

2) Flop: fine.

3) Turn: check behind. You open yourself to a bluff check-raise or a value check-raise if behind. You have one pair, man.

4) River: if you check-behind on the turn, call any reasonable river bet. I'll go with 66 or TT-AA for villain.

what about calling the turn and calling a reasonable river bet. Like I said, Villian is hyper agg. and has been cold bluffing all night.

With stack sizes and pot size, calling a river bet does not need to be automatic. You have position and a live read. Use them to decide if river warrants a call/raise/fold.
