Default $5.50 Standard Push with KK or Too Much?

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t150 (7 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

UTG (t2345)
UTG+1 (t815)
MP1 (t2275)
Hero (t2300)
Button (t1435)
SB (t530)
BB (t3800)

Preflop: Hero is in CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG raises to t450, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, Hero raises to t2300 (All-in)

Is this standard? I felt that anything smaller was either too small or committing me to going all-in on the flop anyway, so I just pushed pre-flop.

This is not the reason. Had you been deeper, this could have been a perfectly acceptable line.

However, a proper reraise here would be to about 1350 preflop, leaving less than 1000 to push into a 2800 chip pot, which is no good.

If you're going to reraise, and be left with ~<1/2 PSB, it is generally better to just get it in preflop.

That's exactly what I meant - anything smaller wouldn't have left me a reasonable size bet on the flop, given what the pot would have been on the flop.

1350 was exactly the raise I wanted to put in. Thanks for confirming.
