Default advice: texting or calling, does it matter?

I'm 25 and until recently have been in relationships since i was 19, so new to the single scene and am not looking to get into another relationship anytime soon.

I usually go out drinking with friends 1 or 2 nights a week, i've met a few cool girls when out and gotten numbers. I hate talking on the phone, much prefer talking in person. So if i decide i'd like to meet up with some girl again i will text her to see if she'd like to meet up later in the week. I've had mixed results...

I prefer texting because it's more casual, i assume if a girls interested in meeting up again, she'll let me know. Do you think it matters?

I prefer texting simply because I loathe talking to people on the phone. It seems like most girls enjoy it as well, but I'm that's from my experience and your mileage may vary.

If she wants to out with you she will.
Calling sometimes puts someone in a spot,if they cant really talk at that moment.
Texting gives ample time to respond.

I like texting chicks because I am lazy as hell and hate talking to them. Mixed results as well, it really just depends how much the chick is already into you.

I think the more in demand the chick the less texting works.

I've noticed that this seems very true.

Also, i think i may be going about this all wrong. Usually when i text a girl to meet up again, it's something along the lines of i'm planning on going back to the bar where we met, you should come out. But i think that maybe girls interpret this as i just want an effortless lay, since it's only worked well on the easy ones. Not the less slutty girls i actually would like to get to know a little and go on a date with, before hooking up.

Texting makes me angry. I am very old and I refuse to change, cell phones still kinda weird me out. I'm not very pretty though, so you probably aren't missing out on much with me.

I'd say in a majority of cases it doesn't matter. In some of them, texting is even preferred to calling. Stick to the plan since you hate talking on the phone.
