Re: 99 weird spot...4 handed
I would fold here as well. You're probably a favorite in the hand but with the blinds so small and your stack so large you should be able to beat these guys without taking this particular risk. if blinds were at 400 I probably call. You should put the buy in somewhere in your post, preferably in the subject. Good luck.

Re: 99 weird spot...4 handed
Theres a shortstack here and losing puts you right with him so I play it like you did, except make it 600 pf so you dont have type the 25 does nothing.

push PF [/ QUOTE ] Really think so? I mean, pushing does make it so you can't be outplayed but you're ONLY being called by hands that are at the very least 50/50 or 80/20. The two middle stacks are not likely to play back at you even without the push and if the small stack pushes you can simply call. Seems to be a risk that doesn't need to be taken. |

Re: 99 weird spot...4 handed
I do not at all like a push pf. Has about the same affect as a standard raise on the shortstack and it gets all your chips on the line when one of the other two stacks gets a hand.

Re: 99 weird spot...4 handed
Raise to 500 pf, why the weird raise? As played easy fold to the reraise.

push PF [/ QUOTE ] Agree 100% Edit - OP what is your range? Anyway I would call the push. Do this kind of thing with something like 76s. Not only is it an easy fold against the big stacks but you have enough equity to call the short stack getting better then 2:1. Raise to 650 with hands that are either easy calls or easy folds. You expect your opponents to either push in or fold so it makes no difference what hand you decide to steal with. Your equity is no different if you steal the blinds with KK then it is when you steal with 72o. So what you want to do is make things easy on yourself when you get played back it. You want a hand like AA or QQ that is an easy call or something like 65s that is an easy muck. If 99 isn't an insta-call in this spot then it is a big mistake to raise to 600 or whatever. |

Re: 99 weird spot...4 handed
I guess that 99 could be an easy muck but it seems unlikely given the fact that you need about 50% equity to call the push.
