Default WPT Shooting Star 2K event

EP has about 12K, semi-loose aggressive no showdowns
I have about 13K, I have a loose aggressive image but have been getting some good hands for small pots. I showed down AA over AQ TPTK earlier.

EP raise to 150, I reraise from sb to 550 with Kd,Kh, he calls
Pot: 1150, Flop: Qc,9h,2h
I bet 750 he calls
Pot: 2650, Turn: 4h,
check, check,
River: Kc
hero?

i really hate this turn check, i dont like letting him draw free to another card, especially when u have the king of hearts here, u must lead out with a bet here, he woulda bet the turn with a flush almost always, i fire about 1800 to let him call with a middle to top pair and let him think he can bluff over the top

Bet the turn to maximize value and sometimes induce a raise from AQ/JhJd. If raised you should 3-bet shove.

I don't get it. Do you think that he has exactly A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]?

Bet 2000 on the river and call a raise.

He made an easy call preflop I believed that he would have taken a few seconds with AQo. At that point I put his range at JJ-QQ, AK, AQs, smaller pairs for set value (stacks were pretty deep) and discounted the AQo slightly.

The flop call looked very strong. I may have been seeing monsters but I believe I saw a faint comfortable smile when he called and it looked genuine. I further discounted the AQ no h but didn't rule it out and was genuinely concerned about the QQ and AhQh and posibly another set. TT, JJ seemed remote.

With the his check on the turn I led the river for 2K and he reraised to 5K. Hero?

Well I don't think there is much mystery left with this hand. It was a largely read dependant play which doesn't work well on this forum.

I took a long time on the river and said that I think you got me on the turn but I have to call and was not surprised at all when he showed the AhQh.

Trust me when I say that with no reads I completely agree that a turn bet is fairly standard when I hold the Kh.

I played short till the end of level 3. Blinds were 100/200, UTG raised to 600 EP call I make an easy push with AK for about 3800 and UTG took me out with AA. Not much warmup for the 10K event tomorrow but I'm still feeling upbeat and looking foward to it.
