Default folding AJ preflop

10/20 6max. stars

UTG has TAG stats after about 30 hands, I have no other reads. MP is loose and passive to very passive(45/5/.7), and I've seen this player open limp with 77 and KTs from steal position.

UTG limps, MP raises, 2 folds, I fold A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] from SB.

Is this as ridiculous as it seemed when I did it?

Am assuming a 1/2 blind structure, so yeah seems ok to fold here, i would probably cold call AQo and AJs here though.

i would not be scared of utg. i have literally never seen a tag limp reraise a big hand in a 6max game except in the blinds.

whether or not u should play aj here depends on how confident u are that MP's range is v tight

It's fine. He only raises 5% of his hands which means you are drawing to one card but you don't know which one it is and lol at you having any FE.

It's fine to fold but keep an eye out for what he is raising with here as it wouldn't be a suprise if it's something like 98s rather than the true top 5% of hands, these types of players love to call with there really big hands.
