probably not even worth posting
Lost the HH, but think I remember it.
Villain is DJ Sensei, who I have at like 23/18 ~1500 stacks, 5/10 DJ opens to $36 in EP, folds to me and I raise to $130 on CO with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], DJ calls. Flop ($275) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] DJ leads for ~$175 (maybe he can chime in with the actual flop & bet size) I have like $1300 behind My thoughts: -AK is probably not in his range -Maybe a tricky AA -Bigger diamonds? -Set -Missed pp/air |

Re: probably not even worth posting
Make a big nasty raise. Could be some sort of bluff/blocking bet.
I assume AK is not in his range because he 4-bet pushes it pre-flop? |

if his range is what u describe i think you need to just call. [/ QUOTE ] With the flop being K high, I think this pushes it closer to call compared to like a T-high flop. QQ/JJ are in his range here I think, and I could put him in a tough spot with a Txx flop. I just don't know what sort of donking ranges you expect to see here on this flop vs. a player like this. |

Re: probably not even worth posting
there's more that i'd like to know about how you two have been playing, but i like a call here for a few reasons:
1) he raises in ep, and you 3bet anyway. in his eyes, your 3betting range is probably a bit narrower here than as a blind v. a button steal (i do realize that u happen to have 76s here.) 2) he leads the flop anyway. i think that he thinks that you raise this bet very often (sometimes w/ missed hands, but given the preflop action here, in this particular spot often w/ hands that wont fold) 3) stack sizes. i put him on a set putting you on a big hand, realizing that you may get away from a sizable checkraise with these stacks, and will also sometimes bluff at his awkward lead. one exception is if he has been donking your 3bet pots regularly, and you think that he thinks that you are scared to play big pots, then u should raise/call. |

Re: probably not even worth posting
not raising here would be criminal, since the majority of his range is made up of hands that probably have to make a pretty heroic call.
nobody leads a monster set here because you never get raised unless your opponent flops some weird draw they dont want to flat call with. this line is sick if you have a medium strength KQ type hand and you think you're opponent is aggro but missed the flop and you want to STACK him in style |

Re: probably not even worth posting
my actions in the hand were very much dictated by stack size, although you probably couldn't know that when staring down the barrel of my donkbet. hence you'd have no idea what it meant.
I'm also trying to think of the ratio within my donking range of hands that would either shove or fold against a raise. probably too much information, but i think it might be skewed towards the former. |
