Re: KQo river decision
I think you should have raised preflop. Limping along in late with only one limper seems bad IMO. I think you should try to get it HU with the limper.
I think the flop bet is okay. I think the turn check is good. I think just calling with your straight at the river should be considered bad too. I think you should raise the river. If I get another decision in the hand I think I would generally call. |

Re: KQo river decision
I would raise this preflop. Raise/call the river.

Re: KQo river decision
I raise PF.
I raise the river and cap a trey. |

Re: KQo river decision
Actually, since they're passive, I just call a raise.
Against a more aggro guy, I'd be more likely to cap. |

Re: KQo river decision
Thanks guys, I agree that raise/call is the correct play.
However, I called and BB showed J5 for the boat. I'm a psychic fish, what can I say? |

Re: KQo river decision
I'd probably raise that preflop.
I'm not so sure about the turn check. Maybe b/f the turn depending on where the raise comes from? As played r/c the river. You're ahead way too often to not raise. |

Re: KQo river decision
I'm actually a fan of the limp here if we had a firmer read on UTG as tight/passive. A 16/5 guy ain't limping much from up front, but what he does limp always has KQ beat & often has KQ crushed.

Re: KQo river decision
i'd also raise pf and raise/call the river. I also agree with Harv's post on limping after a tight/passive.
