Online poker in China, Taiwan
this may be a bit of a longshot, but i was wondering if there is anyone out there who knows if it's possible to play on real money sites in either mainlaind China(not Maccao) or Taiwan.
it would be great to hear from someone who has/ is currently living in either of those locales and could elaborate on the ins and outs, ie moving funds, etc. thanks in advance |

Re: Online poker in China, Taiwan
China blocks access to all the gambling sites. I played on PP in Taiwan, but that was 2 years ago. I don't see why there would be a problem to play in Taiwan though.

Re: Online poker in China, Taiwan
thanks....
i was in beijing in 04/05 and was able to access pokerooms .net site, but didnt play real money at that time. i suppose it is possible that they block the .com sites but not the .net ones.... anyway, i will prob be in taibei next year so that is def good to know. at the rate things are going around here it might actually end up being easier to play there in a couple months |

I see a lot of players playing on WPEX, and they're located in China, it might be HK, or Taiwan, I don't know.

Mailand china blocked some online casinos. But most poker sites aren't blocked. Many chinese are playing poker at PS, Fulltilt, Ipoker network etc. now. As much as I now, only Pacific poker has been blocked because of CasinoOnNet. |

[/ QUOTE ] i from taiwan, i go back every 3-4 months and i'm just here in socal for studying. technically, all forms of gambling are illegal in taiwan except the government organized lottery. but i do not have any problems playing any real money poker games on any sites and i doubt the government cares about poker, yet. taiwan is pretty awesome and if you really do move to taiwan to go pro, let me know and maybe we can play some friendly home games lol |
