Villain and I have some history. Yesterday, I cracked his aces preflop all-in Grimstarr style with AQ. A few pots ago I won a big pot by pushing over his preflop reraise with KK, in the hopes he would call given my recent history with him. He called with JJ. He is 34/26/6 over roughly 150 hands.
I feel I have played this too passive up to the turn, but I didn't want to inflate the pot by reraising him on the flop. Any advice on how I played so far? No I don't think you can call the river, but I definitely raise the turn if I'm not folding.

I think we have a lot of FE.

raise turn = FE
calling river = no FE |

Note I said "if I'm not folding" which I often do.
Basically here's the script that goes through my mind: Preflop: "Nice suited connector hand, aggro opponent openeed the pot with probably a wide range. Ok, often 3bet, this time just call though in case he's paying attention." Flop: "Ok flopped a weak pair + mid-strength gutshot. The pair probably does little for me besides giving me 2 more outs. He's aggressive and made what looks like a CB. I'll call this one & either hit my hand & milk him or float a turn that looks like it may have hit me." Turn: "I didn't improve and that card only looks slightly scary. He made a strong bet that makes me thing his flop bet may not have been a CB after all. It's time to decide if I have enough FE to semibluff..." |

I think we have a lot of FE. [/ QUOTE ] Given history and assuming the guy has any handreading skill and is probably on tilt I would expect we have none. pf sucks mostly. |

Why does pf suck? Always reraise here?

Why does pf suck? Always reraise here? [/ QUOTE ] Well I don't know the details of his hand ranges but typically it's bad to be the first cold-caller of an utg raise with a low sc unless it's vs a weak player. Raise/fold are generally both better. I do it occasionally to keep my range wide and bc I'm on tilt tho. |

I assume you don't like cold-calling first because of a possible squeeze reraise from the blinds?
Given that the people in the blind play weak tight passive, cold calling is better I assume? Having position here is huge imo. |
