internet porn = cheating
my girlfriend and i were discussing this the other day.
her parents got divorced, and one of the primary reasons was because her dad got caught jerking off to porn online ( this was in probably 1997 or 1998 when the internet was still pretty new to most of us ) by her mother. her mother considered it to be a huge sign of infidelity on his part. fast forward ten years later, and she pointed out that she wouldn't think it was a big deal or care much if she walked in on me jerking it to online porn. we are in a long distance relationship. she knows i do it, and although i'm sure she would rather not see me doing it when we live together in a few months, i doubt that she would get seriously angry at me for it. has our society's view of men who watch porn changed that much in just ten years, or is this just an out of the ordinary example? i'm kind of intrigued by it, since i remember when there used to be internet porn articles all the time in magazines and newspapers which treated it as if it was some sort of sickness, and now it just seems pretty common and accepted.

There was something very wrong with the relationship before the pr0n. It makes for a nice, tidy excuse, but no way that was the sole (or even primary) reason for their divorce.
Unless mom is a complete and utter whackjob. In which case, you might wanna tread carefully with your girl. Like mother, like daughter...

[/ QUOTE ] yeah, of course it was a messed up relationship in the first place, but the point still stands that it had a monsterous social stigma at the time, and in my opinion it doesn't anymore. i'm definitely always looking for signs of her turning into her mother. her mom has thousands of collectible horse memorabilia all over her house. if any type of porcelain figure is brought into my apartment, ever, i am going to have to hit the road. Sounds like the mother is a whacko..
I had a crazy girlfriend a few years ago that told me if I even thought of sleeping with another woman that would be the same as cheating on her. Like... DUUUH!!!

my girlfriend when i was 17 essentially broke up with me because she asked me "when was the last time you watched porn online" and i said "like a week ago" ( which was a total lie, it was, at the time, like an hour ago ). she literally cried for days about it. she's a pretty cool, laid back person these days, i don't know what was wrong with her back then. i should have been a man and told her to [censored] herself, but instead i acted like a baby and said that i was wrong to do it when i knew i wasn't.
