77 Do I suck?

I seem to be losing lots of money in situations when I have small/mid pps in SB and raise BB.

Villain is unknown.

PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
3 folds, Hero raises, BB calls.

Flop: (4 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, BB caps, Hero calls.

Turn: (6 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 11 BB

Lol yes. You went 4 sb on the flop and 2 bb on the turn heads up with a pair and found a fold. You know you could have gotten to showdown for (max) one less big bet than you spent navigating your way to folding here, right?

Well the flop looks either like an 8 or one of those retarded "free card caps". I'd consider betting the turn but since you didn't and he did I don't get the C/R?

Generally it's bad to pump in a bunch of bets then fold HU in a blind battle. Find a way to showdown without getting so many bets in.

Agreed. Id like to add that I see a lot of retarded bluffs in this spot so I go into calldown mode from the flop raise.

but is costs me the same to get to the showdown because he'll value bet me to death with a better hand, but I can fold a bluffing 6 outer with my line and charge dimonds.

Raising the turn is so bad.

I like the idea of just calling down the flop raise. Some times he gets a free card, but more often then not he'll just charge himself. This also allows you not to spew horribly when he has an 8.

I don't see how. Your way costs at least 3 from the flop raise assuming you c/f the river. So more likely it costs 4. Calling down from the flop raise costs 2.
