I am looking for things to do in Paris besides the major things that I have to see (Eiffel Tower, Champs Elyssee, Louvre, Versailles etc.) I have done a bit of reasearch, but I know there are 2+2ers who have been before and might have some great ideas! Any help is appreciated!

I've said this before, but I think the best thing to do in Paris is what most visitors usually don't do - relax.
Wander some neighborhoods, spend 2 hours eating lunch and cheese and coffee, wander around some more, spend 2 more hours drinking wine and eating dinner. also go to Buddha Bar for the chocolate cake it's amazing! |

If you're going to see one museum, make it the Musee d'Orsay, not the Louvre.

[/ QUOTE ] Yep, this is it. Great place to do this is on the Rue St Andre des Arts (Latin Quarter) - lots of little cafes. Very narrow, winding street great for strolling. Down in the 13th arrondissement, just off of Place D'Enfert Rochereau, check out Rue Daguerre - great market street. Another great place to just sit and do the cafe culture thing. See the Picasso Museum in the Marais district, too. On a three-day visit, I'd advise against the Louvre. Do the Musee D'Orsay as advised above, but mostly, get out of the Champs Elysee/Louvre/Notre Dame/Eiffel Tower areas, as you won't see anything but tourists mostly around any of these spots, and not much of what Paris is really like. Especially around Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower, I don't think any actual Parisians ever go there. Nothing but touristy rip-off cafes and restaurants. |

See a show at the Moulin Rouge, never mind that would probably be boring.

Honestly, there isn't much worth sightseeing in Paris. The Louvre's pretty unexciting. On the other hand, the city itself is enchanting, you just have to take the time to appreciate it. Don't chase activities. |
