What is a \"Good\" BB won per hand from the Big Blind
I was just looking through my 3/6 six max stats, and think that my BB won per hand from the Big Blind might be kind of lousy. Does -.23 suck, or what? My sample size is small (14,000 hands), but it could be that I defend too liberally from the big blind (folded 45.65%). Am I probably right in my assessment?
Thanks, Brass |

Re: What is a \"Good\" BB won per hand from the Big Blind
I think 14k hands is enough to get a decent estimate and -.23 is kind of bad. I don't think you need to be defending that light at 3/6 unless you're playing in some tough games and if that is the case, you should probably practice better game selection.
Over the last 30k hands, my BB won/hand is -.13 and I'm folding about 53% of the time. |

-.23BB is kind of bad.
I saw pretty good people lose as little as -.12BB if you fold BB to steal 46% this a a low number. must TAGs fold more. some fold up to 65%. currently the some of the best players at stars low limits lose between .17 and .20 BB out fo the BB and the fold between 58%-62% to a steal. |

Re: What is a \"Good\" BB won per hand from the Big Blind
LOL I fold my BB to steal only 34%. I guess I just hate to fold it. Probably tightening up some would help.
anyway my position stats are: sb: -.06 BB: -.16 UTG: .09 UTG+1: .11 CO: .10 BU: .15 I'm not sure why mu UTG+1 number is better than cutoff. Maybe I'm stealing a little too lightly from CO or maybe it's just normal variance. I've seen people with better BB #'s than mine so I imagine tighter is probably better but for my own table image I don't want to make people too comfortable stealing my blinds. |

nice.
your BB/100 must be at about 3. where/what limit do you play? |

Re: What is a \"Good\" BB won per hand from the Big Blind
yeah about 3BB/100. I play mostly 2/4 and 3/6 but I've been feeling like maybe I should get out of my comfort zone and play more 5/10. I usually play where there's value or fish which for me means pokerstars(fish) and Absolute (value). Oddly I average over 3bb/100 at 3/6 and under at 2/4 but it may be the sample size. (I only have about 50K hands in pokertracker at this point.)

Re: What is a \"Good\" BB won per hand from the Big Blind
Generally speaking. You should play more passively postflop from BB.
I like to play tighter in BB defence but it does not have a huge impact on your BB/100 hands if you have 45% or 65% in BB defence as long as you play reasonable postflop OOP. If you play bad you should tighten up until you have a better BB/100 figure over a medium large sample (30-40k) |
