Well at the time I thought 99-QQ might call(of if he thought I was bluffing) and anything else would probably fold. I figured AA and KK would have reraised preflop or on the flop, so I really did not put these in his range. I really never even considered 22, 44 or 66.

Well after thinking about it I think pushing allin is too aggressive. But then what do I do? Do I put a small bet in(not sure if that is a value bet or a blocking bet cause really I have no idea where I am) or do I check it and let it go if he pots it and call if he makes a 1/2 PSB?

Why are you assigning your opponents such tight ranges at this level. Villain very well could have any two. I bet more on the flop and check call a weakish bet on the river.

bet closer to pot on the flop. bet 2/3 of the pot on the turn. The board on the river isn't pretty, because if villain has a split pair, he most likely has a full house now. And he probably won't call this with a weaker hand (although this is 5NL. Things might be different). Check/call the river. You might induce a bluff by an A or K or whatever.

bet more on the flop/turn and bet less on the river. Your bet sizes are wack...

agree, but after the increased flop & turn bets are called, only check/call-less-than-pot on river

Pre Flop is good
on the Flop i would bet 0.40-0.50
turn i would bet $1
and indeed River i would check call less then pot

OK thanks for the feedback. I will work on my bet sizing I have been prone to underbetting the flop and turn in the past as well.

Normally I do not make such overbets on the river, not sure what I was thinking. Unfortunately it cost me my stack. He insta-called and turned over KK.

Afterwards, I couldn't help but think that he probably would have been scared of AA and would not have raised me if I had only bet $1 and I would have still had half my stack.

Yeah probably correct, didn't think that line completely through.
