Party Points Details
Current Category : Silver
Points required to : Remain in Silver category: 0 Move to Gold category: 18110 Current Party Points Balance: (After Redeems) 47996 Total Party Points Earned: 31890 I've never educated myself with the nature and purpose of these points. I vaguely understood them to be useless except for getting free hats. I only recently ceased ignoring them when I started getting emails about X points in Y time for Z dollars. What are they for? What is the difference between silver and gold? Do I care what level I am? What is the difference between my Balance and my Earned? Thanks in advance. |

Re: Party Points Details
I don't think I will ever understand why some people think it is easier to post a thread and wait for replies than spend 2 minutes investigating the website for themselves. It's all there.

Re: Party Points Details
gold level: you acquire points twice as fast.
can be helpful for certain VIP club promotions. not sure it would matter for the current acceler-8-or promotion because it appears they just make you try to earn more points if you are at a higher level. but for the '25k points in a week or less' promo to earn a party cruise it was DEFINITELY advantageous to be silver or gold. Metetron earned his 25k points as blue and it took him twice as long as it might have. I had finished just shy of gold the quarter before (because they don't even tell you there is a deadline) so I was stuck at silver. It took my 52 hours of play to get the cruise. If I was silver it would have taken only 39 or so. Other than faster point accrual there isn't much advantage. Although when Party comes out with their new store you might be happy you have been acquiring that many more points than you would have. Mostly though...it's not THAT big a deal and you shouldn't be going out of your way to get to the next level. |

Re: Party Points Details
Anyone have info besides "soon" on when party is supposed to be adding new items/opening the new store?
I've got a few hundred thousand points to blow. |

In a different post on 2+2 party-support told him, "in about a fortnight" which in Party-ese means "possibly by June."

Re: Party Points Details
Is "VIP club" different from "player's club"? The only reference to 'VIP' on the website seems to be the VIP Acceler-8-tor bonus. Does being sent an email about the Acceler-8-tor bonus imply I am a VIP?
And I still don't know why I have more points than earned. Bonus points (presumably from Happy Hour) are not considered "earned"? By the way, with regards to the "RTFM" nits: the companies website is a sub-optimal place to look when you want: 1) the cliff notes, 2) an answer to the question "Is this [censored] worth my time to learn?" Granted, I could have found out the difference gold vs. silver by myself (but it would have meant, and in fact did mean, reading a great deal of useless trivia about how points are earned in the multitudes of formats I don't play, while simultaneously not answering the questions I asked in this thread). |

[/ QUOTE ] While it annoys me when players ask the same questions over and over again (and choose to not use the search function), I entirely agree with your anti-RTFM stance and your reasoning for why your question is valid. |
