I think the "Tiny Dancer" rumour is false. Supposidly Brandon will be singin "I just Want to Celebrate" by Rare Earth. This was leaked during some morning show radio interview.

I assume you're referring to this from a couple of weeks ago. The 'biggest thing to happen to Idol in 5 years' I suspect will just be the songwriting competition.

Pretty sure it's not the songwriting contest. That's what I would have figured too, the producers promising some dumb surprise, and it being something we already know. But Nigel's not involved with the songwriting contest, and I doubt he's referring to that.
