200nl: River decision vs 2p2er
Villian here is a 2+2er who is usually playing higher.
27/20/3.2 over a decent sample My thoughts are that I doubt he cold calls post flop with TJ or QJ with a player in between us, but in all honestly don't really know what to think of the river overshove. Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $1/$2 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $236.15 Hero: $296.70 CO: $465.55 Button: $408.25 SB: $106.30 BB: $200 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero raises to $8, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds. Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($26, 3 players) SB checks, Hero bets $19, CO calls, SB folds. Re: 200nl: River decision vs 2p2er
He puts you on TPTK, I think. His all in looks very suspicious (maybe flush or str8 draw missed). But I think I'll fold.

FWIW, I did not know that it was him until a bunch of us were discussing it on IRC afterwards, incase that matters.

If im thinking about the same person, he was blogging about getting his account to 100k. I read that he was doing crazy bluffs exaclty like this nonstop (I actually think I read it in his blog). |

Re: 200nl: River decision vs 2p2er
Knowing or not knowing who villain is I call this river from a player with those stats. Like you said, with a player to act I don't think he's calling with a J, I would expect a raise or fold. I would expect a raise from a set or 2 pair on the flop with that board. I can see him playing a big draw like this hoping to get the player behind him to call to increase his pot odds. When you check twice you gave him the initiative in the hand and as one would expect from a player like this he took full advantage of it so I call.

Re: 200nl: River decision vs 2p2er
if you dont know he's a 2p2er at the table, then i dont think it matters as much. because your working with information that you didnt have at the same time of the hand.
