Deliberatey Exposing Cards
When I was in Vegas I had pocket Aces, and the flop came 955. One guy bet, another guy went all-in, and I turned over my Aces after pondering for a minute so that if anyone was getting impatient they could see why I was taking so long & perhaps to pick up a read. The first bettor (who had QQ) complained that my hand should be considered mucked, but the dealer said it was fine.
Can anyone point me to the exact rule that clarifies this? |

Can anyone point me to the exact rule that clarifies this? [/ QUOTE ] No, because it is not a universal rule, it varies from room to room. |

Re: Deliberatey Exposing Cards
Most rooms in Vegas are like this.
When you are heads up against someone you can expose your cards and they are not dead. If its a 3 way post or more and your cards are exposed they are dead. Seeing that you were 3 way and the dealer said its fine is very surprising to me. What room was this in? |

Other than that I would look west from your location to find the better managed rooms. Some particular ones that come to mind in Vegas that are very unfamiliar with poker rules and procedures are Mandalay Bay, Monte Carlo, Excaliber, and Luxor. I don't have an opinion on any other rooms on the strip, but spreading small stakes games they tend to hire people that are unfamiliar with poker. |

Re: Deliberatey Exposing Cards
I should clarify that I am interested in the ruling when there are only 2 players in the hand & typically the situation would be player 1 goes all in, player 2 debates a call & turns over his cards to obtain a reaction. Is this, in general, allowed? Can anyone point me to some card room rules where this is explicitly permitted? Would it be allowed in the WSOP?
