1/3 live NL, WA/WB OOP, trips-TK
1/3 NL in AC. Hero's stack is ~350 and villain barely covers. Table is your typical tight passive casino game - lots of calling and few pushes. No real reads on Villain; played no memorable pots in the hour he sat before his apparent dinner break that he just returned from.
Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Preflop: UTG limps, Villain (forced post BB + $1 dead SB) checks, CO limps, BTN limps, SB completes, Hero checks. Flop (pot $18, rake $1): 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB checks, Hero bets $10, UTG folds, Villain raises to $30, 3 folds, Hero raises to $125, Villain calls. Turn (pot $265, rake $4): 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero checks, Villain checks. River: 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero checks, Villain bets $150, Hero calls. Here are my questions: 1) Should I be betting the turn? I figure Villain doesn't have the two hands that beat me or he would have 4-bet shoved the flop, so he has at most 2 outs. But, given that this is Atlantic City there are many villains that call with worse hands and I have no idea if this Villain is one of those. 2) The river has to be check-call or check-fold if I didn't bet the turn. I need this bet to be a bluff ~25% of the time to be +EV. |

wow please shove the turn. You should always be getting AI here. This is not wa/wb. You are almost always ahead here. He was a poster so he can have any 8 and will play it this way. Please get all in on the turn. You are seeing monsters under the bed.
