Default Seven Feathers Casino Trip Report 3/2/07

After interviewing for graduate school on Thursday and choosing to take Friday off as well, I decided to head south again to Seven Feathers.

I had fun last week, but had complained about the drive and that I wouldn't be back for a while...I'm a liar.

Got there super early for me (1:00pm). Got on a 3/6 limit table right away where I recognized some from last week and sessions before. The table was tighter than usual, which suit me just fine. There were also plenty of loose hands as well though.

I got hit in the face with many suited aces early in the session.

I had two fellas to my left who seemed to think they could play, or basically were paying far more attention than most, which told they were at least thinking on some level. One was annoying 30 something guy w/ baseball cap and headphones. We'll call him "Out of his league," or OHL for short. Dude, seriously, I already don't like you. He thinks he's table captain and I make him my bitch as soon as possible.

My first hand dealt in A4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], folded to me in the CO. I'm surprised because there are rarely opportunities to steal blinds when I play these games. I open it, young button girl folds, OHL 3 bets me from sb and other young guy cold calls 2.

Flop comes Axx. OHL checks??, young guy checks and I decide to check too to see if I can get more out of OHL when he's behind. I was feeling feisty, what can I say. I probably should have bet. One reason for my check as my initial impression of these two weren't your standard I'll call anything fellas. A little deception seemed warranted.

Turn comes T or J or something. OHL bets, young guy calls, I raise, only BB calls. River comes 4, pairing my kicker and I bet and get called, BB mucks.

One old annoying local is talking about the freeroll tournament coming up at 6pm and he says this, "If you can win on yer blind, you can win the tourney. That way you don't run out of chips." That's priceless advice Gary. Another guy that was giving lots of horriawful poker advice. I was loving every minute of it.

A6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] over limped in the CO, 7 handed to the flop. Flop comes 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]s, I raise in EP bettor, 4 callers, Turn misses me, I check it through, they all seem confused. I river the [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and bet when it gets to me. Three callers and none of them can "crack my nuts" [Copyright Befolder 3/3/07].

Gary and I get into a pot after he got an extra bet from me earlier in a hand. He opens from the CO, sb call, I call w/ KJ. Flop comes ATx. Gary bets, I decide to take one off, likely without the odds to do so. He was a more frequent pf raiser than most though. Turn comes my Q, I c/r, he 3 bets, I smugly cap it and he calls my river bet. The turn 2 paired him w/ AQ.

Later on A-hole joins our table. This guy is a real douchebag. About 60, pretty big guy, acts like he owns the damn place and abuses the staff like they owe him something. I pretty much hate him, but I love his money a lot. Slightly better than average, but when the average is really bad, he still sucks online donkey balls.

The rest later...

Bf,

You easily have implied odds on your gutter. You're getting 8 or 9:1.

Okay, so this guy joins from another table, bringing over his meal. The dealer deals him in the first hand and he scoffs, "Duane (dealer), you know better than that." These two get into it about whether or not the dealer should have known something w/o any communication from the player.

They're obviously very familiar with one another and there is no love lost. Basically douchebag didn't want to be dealt in and figure the dealer should read his mind.

Done there? No. So the button passes old doucebag (ODB), who is still sitting back just a bit consuming his meal. He hasn't been dealt in yet. The dealer doesn't deal him in here either and ODB erupts about that as well. Another argument ensues about how the dealer never knows when he wants a hand. Basicaly ODB is a total ass and very difficult. I can't wait to pwn him, should I get the chance.

They spend upwards of a minute bickering and they each individually talk to the floor after the dealer's down. Ridiculous dick swinging going on.

On my way back from dinner I heard this over the loud speaker, "Hitler...party of 2, your table at the blah blah blah is ready." That can't be good.

All in all, it was a fun time which netted me $191 for about 4 hours of play and entertainment. I have one more hand to discuss, but it's going to make it's own thread.
