22$: AA, check to induce push on turn?
Sry, couldnt get a hand converter to work. Can someone tip me about a FTP HC? (Not neilwursts)
This was a 20$+2$ tourney. There was big value, since 20k was added. About 450 players total, startstack 3k, so fairly early. The flopcaller is a little bad, but not a station. Long time since I played this hand, so I can't really remember. Stacks: hero: 3430 Villain: 5200 I have A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. BB is 50. Villain raises UTG+1 to 175. Fold to Hero in the SB. I raise to 500. BB, a loose, good player, calls. Villain calls. Pot is about 1500. Flop: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I bet 1000, bb folds, villain calls. Turn: T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Check to induce a bet? I have 1930 behind. |

Re: 22$: AA, check to induce push on turn?
looks like villain has an overpair of his own maybe 88-JJ poss QQ I would keep betting if you check he may be happy to check it down. I know I would. I would bet another 1000 and hope to get the rest on the river

Re: 22$: AA, check to induce push on turn?
Hey Timber
When I check in situations like this, I find that villains usually sees it as major weakness, and take a stab. So in general I like the idea. In this situation though, the pot is t3500, and you have just a bit more than 1/2 PSB left. If you had deeper stacks, I would think a check is a good idea, but here you should just stick the rest in. I agree with McLane that villain probably has a decent hand, and having come this far he will probably call very often. If stacks were deeper, and villain was a player like the one in the BB that you described, I would like a check just as much as another bet hee. Btw, check out todays +EV strip. Should make any norwegian lol... |

Re: 22$: AA, check to induce push on turn?
Thank you for replies. In this hand, I actually just pushed all in, but villain folded. When I looked back at the hand, I felt a better play was to check. Perhaps I was being result-oriented...
I have already checked it out. Funny |
