Default review hand 2-4 full tilt QJo

8handed with Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the cut off

pre flop
weak tight open limps from the hijack, we call, as does an aggro BTN, sb and bb too

FLOP
T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
checked to hijack who lead outs, we call, BTN raises, hero and hijack call

TURN ... K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
check around

RIVER: ... 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
hijack leads out, we raise, BTN 3bets, hijack caps we call, btn calls

i like a flop raise, as even against a hand like AT we are about 50% with overs and oesd ... also we could force out weaker hands

as played I like a turn donk ... BTN is aggro and does not need top pair to raise the flop, if the King doesn't help him he may not bet the turn

on the river ... after the weak tight bet/caps I don't think our straight has too much going for it

also ... on the flop after the weak tight limps in I think a raise might be alright

I'll go you one better...raise preflop. Then raise the flop or bet if checked to. Letting that turn check through is the work of a criminal inverse-mastermind. This changes the river action, of course, but do you really think you're good against a weak-tight bet/3-bet on a flushed board?

I wouldn't normally raise PF here without reads on OTB/SB/BB. Is this standard here? Or am I just showing how long I've been away from FR.

Edit: just realised a weak-tightie open-limped, if I feel I can get it HU then yep raise PF is g00t.

I would def raise PF and then raise the flop. Two overs and a straight draw and you just called. Ugh

Also I don't really see how the HJ has us beat on the river.

A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]? I dunno, but if we take OP's read at face value, we've just been bet/capped by a weak-tightie on a flushing river. Are we really good better than 1 time in 8?

And, DocMod, wtf? This is the third time you've agreed with me this week! You must've figured out where your keeper hid your brain.

hero did not play long with hijack (45 hands ... but that's enough hands for me to see a weak tight ... 15/3/.5)
