Sorry if this has been posted before...I'm primarily a 6m player and I'd imagine that FR is indeed softer but I was still curious for opinions of anyone who might have made the transition. Did your pt/bb increase or decrease?

You should have a higher bb/100, but it's offset by the decreased hands per hour.

winrate will be lower at FR, but so will variance. hands/hr could possibly be higher since most people can play a lot more tables of FR than 6-max effectively. There are definitely less regs at FR starting at 100NL than there are at 6-max (below that both games are easily beatable). also a lot of the FR regs are exploitable postflop. it really depends on what level/style you play. if youve been playing 18/15 at 6-max the transition will be easy. i play like 25/21 at 6-max so its harder for me to adjust.

I have played over 100K hands at both 6max and FR and suprisingly my FR winrate is more than at 6max and variance isn't not nearly as brutal.

there are styles that are just more suited to FR that may lead to higher winrates at FR than 6M for some, but i think 9/100 is probably variance if you're talking ptbbs.
