Default I do this sometimes 10/20NL

How often do you do this? How good/bad is it. My view is that villain will fold anything worse than tens here which makes me wonder how good of a move it really is.

i dont like it. id rather c/r with some kind of draw - gutshot etc., or total air.

reason is: if he calls you dont know much except that he likes his hand (could be spades, could be a ten, overpair etc) you just dont know, check-call is better - you dont know much eiter but the pot is smaller then depending on the turn c/f, c/c again, or even lead out... you have options.

a donk potsize bet could work also but youd better be donk-pushing with sets and draws too, if not u get raised every time by an agressive player.

sorry this was a little wired post i guess but im drunk

checkraising this flop with overpairs, sets, and drawings hands is good. checkraising with 77 is bad. the difference is that with all of the hands in the first category you'll know where you are if he doesn't fold. with 77 you're gonna constantly make mistakes on the turn after a call or against a flop 3bet.

Ugh.

Your 77 has showdown value, and you are C/Ring because...?

Plus if he calls, what's your plan for the turn? C/fold?
