I dont think I can cry from physical pain..

The only way I feel I can cry is from sadness or being extremely scared. I have a very high tolerance for pain. I'm not sure if this is normal or not. When I see pro athletes crying from pain I just dont get it.

The following are a few examples over the past couple years where I didnt cry. They are in order from least painful to most.

1. Huge gash requiring 16 stitches in foot
2. Broken nose
3. Getting punched in the stomach by my brother when not expecting it.
4. Stubbing my toe very badily
5. Broken wrist
6. High ankle sprain
7. Fell while hiking. Hip landed on rock. Nastiest bruise I’ve ever seen.

None of these things is extraordinarily painful. Most involve shock of some sort as well.

Have some Japs shove bamboo shoots under your fingernails and then you'll know pain.

I dont think athletes are crying from the pain. I think they are crying cuz they realize everything they have been working so hard for just went out the window.

none of that stuff you listed is particularly painful

If you really wanna test your pain threshold, im sure OOT would be glad to get a collection together for a few of use to fly out to you and video tape you getting tortured until you cry.

I still don't think I could cry from that. Maybe from being scared or something. I just don’t associate physical pain with crying. It just doesn’t make sense to me. Grunting and stuff to deal with the pain-yes. Boohooing-no.

Ive been stabbed in teh calf, had a finger chopped off, among other thigns, none of this stuff hurt at all, adrenaline rushes etc, but I still scream out whenever I bang my shin on the corner of my bed.
