Default A7s in BB, SB pushes, Call or Fold?

$20 MTT on Stars. ITM but around 120 left, payout structure is flat until the FT. No history or reads on Villian.

Pretty simple question really, call or fold?

I would say this is an easy fold. you might be ahead here but at best its a coin flip and that is at best. Is it worth risking all your chips on a coin flip?

I call. Table captaincy if you win is an added incentive.

Lol. I wasn't sure whether people might consider this to be a close decision or not.

I called pretty quickly FWIW. If we are calling A7s against an unknown BB push, what else are we calling with? A2+, 22?

- i really hate calling my chips off with a low pair (22-55) but i guess this could be a situation where it is reasonable. What do you think our calling range should be?

This is near the bottom of mine, but I'm quite nitty like that. However, I always take other factors into consideration. Here, you are a long way from serious money and the benefits of winning are massive (clear table chip lead and a signal that you'll defend relatively light) whereas folding does not give you any obvious strategies for getting chips at this table of even stacks other than playing better and getting lucky.

Well, I was certainly considering these other factors when I called, particularly at this blind level where it is great for accumulation if you have a stack to be able to steal aggressively.

Calling range Registrar? (i certainly think A7 is near the bottom of my calling range, and i probably call 22+ although really hate having to call with 22-55)

instant call, obvious steal or low pair as he wouldnt have pushed if he had a monster but tried to extract more. If you win u can run over the table for alot of chips and a good shot at first. If you have been stealing easy then u can make a case for folding but otherwise easy call. Listen to the deebs man

I really don't know. 55+, A7s, A8o I guess. I have a thing about calling with big kings here but I guess that KQo should be there. I think people generally instapush all pairs and any ace so I'm primarily concerned with having enough of those hands beat. My range tightens a little if I have 17k at the same table because then I feel we stand to lose more than we gain, apart from the cEV calculations. Well, I mean what we stand to gain is less significant than what we stand to lose. And I would call wider if we were both short and I were in pushbot mode anyway.
