$50 Live hand, lay down my FLUSH?
Live 6 handed.
This is a home game but all are competent players and the game is mostly serious thus far. Villain in hand is a long time friend and we have a very lengthy poker hsitory. He is smart, and TAGy but loosens up against me. He views me as a smart player that goes after pots and will try to raise others out. Ok the hand. Effective stacks $65 Blinds .50/$1 Villain calls UTG UTG +1 calls folds to HERO on BTN who raises to $4 with 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Villain calls, others fold. Flop K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Villain checks. Hero checks. Turn J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Villain Checks Hero bets $5 Villian raises to $12 Hero raises to $25 Villain instantly goes all in. Hero??? |

Call. If you had 45 of diamonds you can think twice, but not with the third nut flush.

Very read dependent. Standard play is to call.
I would just call preflop, as well as bet the flop. |

Re: $50 Live hand, lay down my FLUSH?
I didn't bet flop because of history with Villain, I knew he'd reraise me here and I wanted to see the turn without that happening.
On turn. He raised by raise of his check raise... does anyone think he could have less than a better flush then me here? |

I would call, but what two diamonds that beat you would a TAGy villain limp with UTG?

Re: $50 Live hand, lay down my FLUSH?
1) I bet the flop
2) I don't 3bet the turn if I respect his game 3) If the board was paired I'd fold to his turn 4 bet (!!), this is closer because a set is possible. 4) If you are beat its because he limped with Ax of diamonds... 5) Raise more pf, you don't want 2 customers. |

Share your thought process WHY you would call against some and fold against others. The cop out 'its all about people' or 'depends' is of no use to anyone... |
