Default - P\'s Poker Table is almost done -

Two weeks ago I decided to build my own. I had a spare table, I had couple pieces of plywood, and away I built...

This picture shows the table before the cup holders were added:

If you decide to build a table DO NOT use marine vinyl for the railing. I could not get it lay-down or stretch out smooth. The only reason I used this type of vinyl is because I will be storing the table in my garage or out on my back screened porch. I live in Florida and it's very humid. I'm sure it will hold up to moisture and abuse but it was a pain to work with.

This picture is after the cup holders have been added:

The cup-holders are the extra deep type. Total cost to build was around $150 for all materials (Moleskin playing surface, rail padding, cup holders, railing material, and playing surface padding). I still have to add the edge material to cover-up the exposed wood you can see on the ends. I'll use this one for a while then build another when the itch happens again.

It was alot of fun to make and I can't wait to start playing on it.

Nice job.

I feel your vinyl pain. Stretching that stuff sucks ass.

I used "whisper vinyl" for mine and it stretched very well.

Not even the slightest hint of a wrinkle except on the bottom where it's stapled. (not the greatest pic for seeing that though)

Heh! Good one! Actually, it's lite grey and black. Bad lighting in the garage.

I'm not sure if I'm completely satisfied with the railing I may redo it. I will have a games on it very soon to see if everyone likes it. A couple of the guys came over to check it out and gave me the thumbs up, so it ain't all that bad. Next one will definitely have softer rail material to work with.
