25-50 vs Boosted
25-50 on stars. boosted and i have been lagging it up as usual raising lots of pots in early position and being naturally agressive postflop. normally i reraise this preflop but for some reason i decided to nit it up and play for pot control against a possible KK and AA preflop.
effective stacks of $6,200ish boosted opens to $200 UTG, daut44 kinda nitty straightforward player calls in MP and I call in SB with QQ BB folds ($650) K 9 5 w. flush draw I check Boosted bets $500 daut folds I call ($1650) K check check ($1650) K I bet $1222 Boosted shoves for ~$4,000 more I figure a king is impossible but AA is a pretty huge part of his range when he shoves river. |

Re: 25-50 vs Boosted
this is a tough river decision. I would fold this v. boosted though, as he shoves a lot of rivers with nutted hands. It would be a very brave bluff for him to bluff here, therefore it's more likely for value, and I think he has AK, AA far too often to make this call profitable.
EDIT: Flush draw on flop (meaning AK more likely to bet turn) makes this a call. |

Re: 25-50 vs Boosted
Probably fold. From boosted's point of view, you have a K way too often here to make this worth bluffing. And the only thing you beat is a bluff.

Grimmy,
What about 1010/JJ looking for a hero call for your 9x hand? |

Re: 25-50 vs Boosted
whoops, didn't see frush draw on flop...you're definitely correct he has AK way less often. This would actually tilt his handrange into making a call.

Re: 25-50 vs Boosted
i'd rather check the river here, sometimes CRAI and sometimes check call
