Re: What do you bet here?
Fold = Limp = Raise to 100, I don't agree with the people saying fold preflop, or I do but its just as good as any other play (I personally am raising to 100 here, in an attempt to buy the button and get some money into the pot when I am the favorite) the truth is the begining field of a 4/180 is absoulute trash and I am going to look for a double up early while the other good players are playing tight to avoid early elimination...
My point is that in a 4/180 with this deep of stacks in relation to the blinds you would have a hard time making a preflop mistake here... I agree with every1 that potting the flop and pushing to any reraise is the right line on the flop as played. But i dont think limping is bad here so long as you are better then the field and arent going to get tangled into a weak kicker hand here... |

Re: What do you bet here?
Yeah, I got the "fold preflop" thing, I usually do here. BUT, I limped in this time because I feet like it sometimes in the first round or two on a 4/180...can you blame me? Seriously...;P

[/ QUOTE ] Raising to 100 here is chip spewing in a 4/180 IMO. How often do you get 1 or 2 callers? Like, almost every time... And how often do you hit the flop? Like, never... Trying to buy the Button with such a crappy hand is utterly bad play early in a 4/180. Why do this when you can raise your good hands for value and still get callers? Most of the time you try your line, you'll get a call from BB and one of the limpers. Flop misses you completely and you have to make a cont bet for another 260-300. You get one caller because they just cannot lay down mid pair. Congrats, you've wasted 400 chips that could've been saved to maximize your winnings on the next hand where you got AA. |
