Best Places to live in America
Hi Guys,
I would just like a few opinions. My wife and I are thinking of moving to the US from the UK and are looking for the following sorts of things: 1. Good educational Institutions- for bringing up children. 2. Nice warm climate (as it's nearly always raining here in the UK and good weather would be a refreshing change!) 3. Plenty of employment opportunities. 4. Reasonable value for money on properties (homes) 5. friendly Locals. and most importantly: 6. Good Card rooms! Do you guys know of any places that fit the criteria? Any help appreciated!! Thankyou! |

2. Nice warm climate 6. Good Card rooms! [/ QUOTE ] These narrow it down a lot. The Southeast is pretty barren cardroom wise outside of Mississippi and Louisiana. However, the schools in these areas are bad and they're pretty poor. California has good poker, but housing is expensive. I know its cliche, but I think your best option is Vegas. |

Boston is the last place you want to live considering your wants, unless you can afford a $1.2 million dollar 1500sq ft raised ranch with a leaky basement. |

Re: Best Places to live in America
Thanks Max and Noah, I will look into those areas.
The UK is not good any more. Especially if you are hard working citizens. This country seems to be more geared towards freeloaders now, than to the working class. Living costs are extremely high and quality of life is poor. It's not a bad country, but a place where criminals have more rights than the victims is not good. We are also fully signing over to the EU (European Union) in March and this will totally destroy this country. Best to get out and make a fresh start. |
